Our History and Mission

We, the residents of Bonnabel Place and vicinity, are proud of our association and would like to enlighten everyone as to its origin and history in the hopes that you, too, will be proud.

The Bonnabel Civic Association was organized in June of 1971 by residents in the area of 1-10 and Bonnabel Blvd.

The original Bonnabel area is bound by Metairie Road to Lake Pontchartrain and Hesper to Homestead Avenues.

In recent years, we've increased the area represented by our association, now recognized by Jefferson Parish.  It includes West Esplanade S. at Bonnabel, east to Lake Avenue (or parish line), and south to the North I-10 Service Road.

Our membership is not limited to our subdivision and welcomes those who need assistance.

A comforting nook located on Bonnabel Boulavard. Nestled between Lake Pontchartrain and Metairie road. Our little slice of Louisiana is a special place. Bonnabel has a rich history of great residents. The Bonnabel Civic Association was founded in 1971 to celebrate this great place and preserve it for future generations.
